Technical Notes 2021, Issue 94 - Primary Schools Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders

  1. The purpose of this technical note is to provide an answer to a question raised at the PNCA Committee on Thursday, 25 May 2021, seeking an update on the Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) which were promoted around a number of schools in response to varying start and finish times at schools and the need to social distance during the pandemic.

Technical Notes 2021, Issue 92, Forthcoming Meeting Cycle - ICT

  1. The purpose of this technical note is update Members of housekeeping matters in advance of the forth-coming cycle of meetings.
     
  2. Members will be aware that a full diary of meetings commences this week and will run through to the local government elections in 2022.  Members will also be aware that the last formal governance meeting took place on 29th June (special Meeting of Council).

Technical Notes 2021, Issue 88 - 2021/22 – Revenue Monitoring period 3

The purpose of this Technical Note is to advise Members of the monitoring position of Mugdock Country Park at period 3 2021/22.

The attached appendix provides a summary of the current financial position, at accounting period 3, showing actual spend against budget, previous years spend and projected spend in year. At this time an unfavourable variation is being projected totalling £0.025m and attributable to employee costs.  This will continue to be monitored throughout the year.

Technical Notes 2021, Issue 87 - 2020/21- CORPORATE FRAUD PERFORMANCE UPDATE, COMMUNITY GRANT ANTI FRAUD CONTROLS AND ‘FRAUD AND IRREGULARITY 2020/21’ – A REPORT BY AUDIT SCOTLAND

The purpose of this Technical Note is advise Members of the Corporate Fraud Performance Outcomes for the financial year 2020/2021 and to provide detail on audit counter fraud recommendations following a question from Cllr Low at Council on 17th June 2021 in relation to further advice on appropriate controls for community grants.  A copy of ‘Fraud and irregularity 2020/21’, a report by Audit Scotland is also attached.

Technical Notes 2021, Issue 84 - Opening of the new Bearsden Early Years Centre

  1. The purpose of this technical note is to inform Elected Members of the handover and opening of Bearsden Early Years Centre (EYC).
     
  2. Following the handover of Bearsden EYC, staff have been working to set up the learning spaces.  Education have worked with Assets and Health & Safety to address a small number of issues in readiness of opening to children.
