Technical Notes 2021, Issue 121 - Naming of a School – Procedure Manual No. 3/32

  1. The purpose of this technical note is to provide Elected Members with information regarding the established process for naming a school, as requested by Council at its meeting on 29 June 2021.
     
  2. The process for naming a new school is governed by Procedural Manual No. 3/32, which details the consultation, decision-making process.
     
  3. Procedural Manual No. 3/32 is attached for information.

Technical Notes 2021, Issue 118 - Updated Planning Appeals and Other Matters Paper

1.         The purpose of this technical note is to provide Members with an update on  recent Appeal decision and new Appeals lodged with the Scottish Government. This information  would have normally been provided with the Planning Board papers.  As the scheduled Planning Board meeting of 14th September 2021 is not required it was agreed to circulate this update as a technical note.

Technical Notes 2021, Issue 117 - Appeal against refusal of planning permission: Bearsden Golf Course (TP/ED/19/0067) DPEA issuing of Notice of Intention

1. The purpose of this Technical Note is to advise Councillors of the latest position with respect to the appeal relating to the site known as Bearsden Golf Course (TP/ED/19/0067) (DPEA ref PPA-200-2061)

Technical Notes 2021, Issue 116 - School Calendar Year Update – 2021/2022

  1. The purpose of this technical note is to provide Elected Members information regarding a change to the School Calendar which is published on the Council Website school-holidays
     
  2. An error has been identified with the published version of the calendar.  The version stated that the schools final day of term was Wednesday, 22 December and schools closed on Thursday, 23 December 2021 through to pupils return on 5 January 2022.

Technical Notes 2021, Issue 113 - Timescales for the reopening of Leisure Centre Cafes

The cafes at the Leisure Centres have remained closed since the reopening of the centres.  Two of the facilities (Allander and Kirkintilloch Leisure Centre) are being utilised as mass vaccination sites and the café facilities at these venues will remain closed until these are no longer operating as vaccination sites.

The Leisuredrome café reopened on a limited hours basis on 23 August following an extensive risk assessment process.  The café initially opened from 10.00am – 4.00pm on week days and this will be reviewed going forward with the potential to include weekend access.
