Technical Notes 2021, Issue 138 - Roads & Environment 2021/22 Carriageway and Footway Resurfacing Programme Quarterly Update

  1. The purpose of the Technical Note is to provide Members with an update on the previous quarters Roads & Environment 2021/22 Carriageway and Footway Resurfacing Programme.
  2. As a result of restrictions placed on the service in relation to single person vehicle occupancy and social distancing the Roads Network Team were initially delayed in commencing the resurfacing programme for 2021/22.

City Deal Consultation and Engagement Strategy

  1. The purpose of this Technical Note is to provide Elected Members with the City Deal Consultation and Engagement Strategy. The strategy has been prepared specifically to use through the development and delivery of the Council’s City Deal project, setting out the principles and guidance for the planning and delivery of consultation and communication activities.
     
  2. East Dunbartonshire Council’s Consultation and Engagement Strategy and the National Standards of Community Engagement were used to inform and guide this strategy.
     

Local Housing Strategy (2022-2027) – Early Engagement Survey October 2021

1.         The purpose of this technical note is to update Members on the upcoming Early Engagement Survey that will inform the new Local Housing Strategy 2022-2027.

2.         East Dunbartonshire residents are being offered the chance to share their views on the housing issues that matter most to them during a dedicated consultation.

Technical Notes 2021, Issue 129 - Role of National and Local Leadership in Ongoing COVID-19 Compliance and Recovery Activity - A Joint Note from COSLA, SOLACE and Scottish Government

  1. At the most recent COSLA Leaders’ meeting in August 2021, Leaders agreed a high-level approach to joint recognition, between COSLA and Scottish Government, of the collective challenges which continue to be faced as we move beyond Level 0 and into the next stage of the pandemic, and the respective roles of local and national leadership in meeting these.

Technical Notes 2021, Issue 124 - Special Meeting of Council - 5 October 2021

1. The purpose of this Technical Note is to update Members in relation to a proposed special meeting of the Council on 5 October 2021.   

2. Members will be aware that the Council received annual performance reports from both Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service.  These reports provide an overview and then focus on performance within the East Dunbartonshire area.
