Technical Notes 2021, Issue 23 - Special Meeting of Council - Tuesday 29th June 2021

  1. The purpose of this technical note is to inform Members of plans for a Special Council meeting on 29th June 2021.
     
  2. Members will be aware that the last scheduled Council meeting in advance of the summer is schedule has been impacted by the operational response to COVID-19 pandemic and the imminent election. Decision making has taken place via delegated reports or by Council.
     
  3. Members will also be aware that a cycle of meetings is scheduled to take place on 17th June 2021.
     

Technical Notes 2021, Issue 24 - Economic Recovery Plan Approval and Publication

  1. The purpose of this technical note is to inform Elected Members that the Economic Recovery Plan for East Dunbartonshire has been approved and will now be published and publicised to aid local businesses and residents.
     
  2. The attached delegated report sets out the work completed to update the Plan approved in October 2020, including data analysis and the findings of the COVID-19 Economic Impacts Survey. It also sets out work to deliver the Plan and the potential requirement for a future update.

Technical Notes 2021, Issue 12 - School Placing Requests – Session 2021/22

The purpose of this technical note is to provide Elected Members with an update to the date change for the notification to parents / carers for School Placing Requests 2021.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, the Scottish Government has issued revised dates for Councils to respond to Placing Requests for the new school year starting in August 2021.

Technical Notes 2021, Issue 55 - Clothing & Footwear Grant and Education Maintenance Grant summary by Council Ward

  1. The purpose of this technical note is to provide Elected Members with summary of the Clothing & Footwear Grants (C&FG) and Education Maintenance Grants (EMA) that have been provided to families who claimed by Council Ward area.
     
  2. A request was made at a recent Education Committee for this information to be provided to Elected Members. The table below shows a summary of the C&FG and EMA for each Council ward:

Technical Notes, Issue 56 - Location Change for Asymptomatic Testing Site

  1. The purpose of this technical note is to update Members regarding current arrangements for asymptomatic testing in East Dunbartonshire.
     
  2. Members will be aware from the recent Service update Technical Note that the existing Asymptomatic Testing Site (ATS) at Auchinairn Early Years & Community Centre closed this afternoon. This means that the centre will be available to the community and others for lets now that restrictions have eased.

In June of this year the Children & Young People’s Commissioner for Scotland published a report on compliance with statutory duties when admitting children and young people to secure care.

Technical Notes 2021, Issue 16 - Regent Gardens Project – Kirkintilloch Town Centre
