The existing traffic signals have been switched off and temporary four way traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities are being used to control traffic movements on Heath Avenue at its junctions with Kirkintilloch Road and Garngaber Avenue, Lenzie. The temporary traffic signals are being manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day.  The use of temporary traffic signals may result in delays to traffic in the area.

Notes

East Dunbartonshire Council will require to close a section of the B757 Birdston Road, between its junction with the vehicular access to Birdston Care Home, Milton of Campsie, and its junction with Andrew and Cameron Lane, Kirkintilloch (near the bridge over the River Kelvin, before you leave Kirkintilloch to head towards Milton of Campsie).

The alternative routes are by way of the B757 Birdston Road, the A891 Campsie Road, Milton of Campsie and Lennoxtown, the B822 Campsie Road, Lennoxtown and Torrance, the B822 Main Street, Torrance, the A807 Torrance Road, the A803 Kirkintilloch Road, Glasgow Road, and Kilsyth Road, Kirkintilloch, and the A891 Antermony Road, Milton of Campsie, and these routes will be signposted.

Vehicle access to the closed section of road will be maintained for emergency services and adjacent properties when safe/practical.

A807 Torrance Road, into the private access at Bogton Field

Duration

7am until 9pm on Saturday 3 June

Notes

1. Vehicles travelling on the A807 Torrance Road which can not turn right into Bogton Field should proceed northwestwards on the A807 Torrance Road then proceed in a clockwise direction around Kelvinbridge roundabout then turn left into the A807 Torrance Road then proceed southeastwards on the A807 Torrance Road then turn left into the private access to Bogton Field

2. Vehicles leaving Bogton Field, Torrance, should turn left into the A807 Torrance Road then proceed southeastwards on the A807 Torrance Road then proceed in a clockwise direction around Torrance roundabout then turn left into the A807 Torrance Road then proceed northwestwards on the A807 Torrance Road.

In addition, in the interests of road safety, the existing speed limit will be reduced from 60 mph to 30 mph on the A807 Torrance Road, between its junctions with Torrance roundabout and Kelvinbridge roundabout.

There will also be no waiting at any time restrictions in place.
