Kirkintilloch Gateway Masterplan

The consultation has now closed as of 26th September 2014

The Kirkintilloch Business Gateway Masterplan was identified as one of the area’s ‘flagship’ business locations in Local Plan 2, which states: ‘The masterplan should incorporate predominately economic development uses and may also include, where appropriate, non-food retail, residential and hotel/leisure uses’.  In support of this approach at the site, the Council has drafted a Masterplan setting out its views on the appropriate direction for development of the site.

The Council is now seeking views on this Draft Masterplan and a consultation will be open between 1 September and 26 September 2014, inclusive.

A copy of the Masterplan can be found here: Kirkintilloch Business Gateway Masterplan

Alternatively copies of the Masterplan can be viewed at William Patrick Library / Kirkintilloch Community Hub, Lenzie Library, the Council’s Broomhill Depot and Southbank Marina HQ. Additionally, copies have been sent to local Community Councils.

We would encourage everyone with an interest in the future development of East Dunbartonshire to view the Kirkintilloch Business Gateway Masterplan and welcome any comments or observations you may have on the masterplan.  Comments can be submitted by e-mailing the Land Planning Policy Team at development.plan@eastdunbarton.gov.uk by 26 September 2014.
