The annual Thomas Muir Symposium was held yesterday in Douglas Academy in Milngavie. Provost Renwick had the honour of welcoming guests to the event to celebrate the life and times of Thomas Muir, the Father of Scottish democracy who had strong links with East Dunbartonshire.
