    When Isobel and Tommy were perusing the menu in the Peel Cafe in Kirkintilloch one day in the early 1960s, little did they know that their lives were about to change forever. A chance meeting in a café that is long gone was just the start of a love story that lasted through the decades. The young couple were married on 1 February 1964 at St Ninian’s Church in Kirkintilloch and have just celebrated their Diamond Wedding Anniversary in the town.
