A Crackin' Kirky Christmas

Christmas kicked off in Kirkintilloch with some style this weekend at the Kirkintilloch BID Christmas Festival in Barleybank. Provost Renwick joined the festivities, meeting local families and groups as she took in all the action. There were craft and gift stalls, food vendors, a funfair and live entertainment as well as the Forth and Clyde Canal Society's floating Santa's Grotto.

Provost Renwick said, "What a fabulous weekend of festive fun in Kirkintilloch. I loved meeting lots of new people and chatting to local groups like the Soroptomist knitters who are celebrating their 50th anniversary next year. Well done to everyone who helped organise the Festival, putting smiles on the faces of young and old alike."
