You will be required to take no further action.
If you do not consider that the final Job Overview Document is reflective of the duties of your post, you will have the right to appeal under the agreed Job Evaluation Appeal Procedure.
You have been sent an Appeal Form to be completed by both yourself and line manager. This has to be returned by the date specified on your letter.
You will then receive an acknowledgement that the Job Evaluation Team has received your completed Appeal form.
The first stage will be a Sift Process, where the Appeal Panel will scrutinise your form to determine whether there are sufficient grounds for your appeal.
If there are sufficient grounds for your appeal to progress, you will be invited to an appeal hearing and the factors the appeal will be heard on. The Appeal Panel will review all 13 factors, as many of the factors are interlinked.
If there are insufficient grounds of appeal, you will be advised of this. In accordance with the model procedure agreed by the SJC, as adopted by East Dunbartonshire Council, there is no further right of appeal.
The panel will comprise of an Executive Officer, not from your service, and a Trades Union representative. There will also be a Technical Adviser from the Job Evaluation Team.
Appellants will be notified of the outcome of their hearing, once the appeal has been heard and ratified by the Job Evaluation Steering Group
