A Centenary Dinner, marking 100 years since the formation of the 182 Boys' Brigade group in Bishopbriggs was held recently in the Eagle Lodge. Depute Provost Gary Pews was a speaker at the dinner, attended by around 100 former and current members of the group which is attached to Kenmure Parish Church.

Alzheimer Scotland and Motor Neurone Disease Scotland have received a cash boost ahead of Christmas from East Dunbartonshire Provost Alan Brown. Each charity received £810 following a raffle run by the Provost.
