In what was to be his final official engagement before his unexpected and sad passing on 13 November 2021, Provost Brown attended Kirkintilloch Male Voice Choir's Centenary Dinner as their special guest on 12 November. A long-time supporter of the choir, he was delighted to be part of their celebrations, gave a speech and presented commemorative coins to mark the special occasion.
