May Braid of Bishopbriggs had a lot to celebrate recently as she turned 100 years old! Depute Provost Gary Pews joined May at Kincaid House Hotel in Milton of Campsie, to congratulate her on behalf of the people of East Dunbartonshire. Deputy Lieutenant Ian Dickson also attended and presented May with her birthday card from Her Majesty the Queen.
There were further celebrations at Cawder Golf Club in Bishopbriggs where May was a stalwart of the Ladies Golf Section for many years. She was joined by golfing friends, her friends from Cadder Parish Church and her family including her two sisters.
