    Launched in 2018, the national day of tribute is now an annual fixture, when the nation celebrates its emergency personnel and remembers those killed in the line of duty.

    It is hard to know how to begin looking back on 2020. No-one could have imagined the massive changes to our daily lives or the grief, worry and hardship caused by the global effect of Covid-19. Many families will be approaching the festive season, mourning the loss of a loved one and they are in my thoughts. The impact of Covid-19 will be felt for some time to come by so many but hopefully better days are ahead in 2021.
