Adult Learning and Employability

The Council is responsible for providing learning opportunities to adults, in a variety of different formats, throughout East Dunbartonshire. The service encourages the development of core skills, social inclusion and active citizenship throughout all aspects of learning provision in partnership with other departments and agencies. We aim to provide a positive learning experience for all our learners.

Our Employability and Learning Services are currently operating on an appointment only basis. In the first instance please call 0141 777 3082 or complete our learning enquiry form below and one of our employability advisors will be in touch. Support such as help with CVs, interview skills and job search can still be provided online and by telephone or face to face by appointment.

No One Left Behind Employability Grants Programme

The East Dunbartonshire Local Employability Partnership has launched a grants programme and we welcome grant applications from partner organisations. The funding comes from the Scottish Government, No One Left Behind and Young Person's Guarantee programmes.

The aim of this grant programme is to support unemployed people to move towards and into work. To do this, we need to help local people to develop the skills and confidence employers are looking for. We want to develop new partnerships with other organisations to work together at a local level to provide the best possible services to those who need them most.

We will be running an information session for potential applicants. This will be an online event held on Tuesday 1 February 2-3pm. Please email learningandskills@eastdunbarton.gov.uk to register for the event and you will be sent a link.

For more information on the grant, please read the guidance document by clicking the button below.
