Leaders from local authority and funded provider Early Years Centres throughout East Dunbartonshire joined together recently to hear from a range of inspiring and innovative speakersBaby learning with members of staff.

The seminar was opened by Greg Bremner, Interim Chief Education Officer, and speeches were delivered by Early Years professionals, authors, education consultants and pedagogues. Their highly informative presentations on the 1140 hour journey, Froebelian Principles, learning through nature and managing change, prompted engaging discussion amongst those in attendance.

Convener of Education, Councillor Lynda Williamson, who delivered the welcome to the event, said, “This was an excellent opportunity for local authority and funded Early Learning Providers to come together to share information and to hear from leading professionals in their field. There was a great turnout and those who attended found the presentations stimulating and informative – everyone benefits from the sharing of good practice.”

She continued, “I’d like to thank all the speakers for joining us and sharing their knowledge with us as we continue in our efforts to deliver excellent Early Learning services throughout East Dunbartonshire. I’d also like to thank all the Early Learning Centre managers who participated in the event and look forward to seeing them again at similar events in the near future.”
