Could you mentor a young person in East Dunbartonshire?
The Council is continuing its partnership with MCR Pathways. to deliver a life-changing mentoring programme to help local young people.
By dedicating just one hour per week, you can become a volunteer mentor and positively impact the lives of pupils in our secondary schools.
You don't need any special skills or prior experience with young people; all you need is commitment, empathy and determination to make a positive impact. As a mentor, your role will be to lend a compassionate ear to your young person for an hour a week during term time, empowering them to believe in themselves and their abilities.
Mentoring not only has a life-changing impact on young people but also brings numerous benefits to mentors themselves. Volunteers can gain a sense of fulfilment, personal growth, and the opportunity to develop valuable skills.
If you can spare an hour each week to ensure that a young person's future is shaped by their talents rather than their circumstances, please sign up for an online Information Session to find out more!
There will be two sessions in January 2025 and you can register now:
Please secure prior approval to attend from your line manager if the sessions are during your normal working hours.
Thanks
