Additional Support Needs Consultation

The survey is now closed as of  noon 15 June 2018

In February 2017, East Dunbartonshire Council approved a report on the strategic review of Additional Support Needs Provision. The report includes a number of recommendations including the development of a new specialist school provision for children with additional support needs. This will be funded from the Council's 10 year capital programme.

Following work with staff and parents at both schools, the Council agreed to hold a formal consultation on proposals to close Campsie View and Merkland Schools, and establish a new build ASN school in Kirkintilloch.

The consultation is intended to gather the views of everyone involved in the proposal, and to use that information to help the Council decide how to proceed. A consultation document has been sent to staff, parents, and other consultees, setting out the reasons for the Council’s proposal, and the educational benefits of the proposal. The consultation will run from 23 April 2018 to midday on Friday 15 June 2018

The page links below hold all information relating to the development of proposals for the new provision.
