    This Technical Note will be published on the Council’s website following circulation to Members. Its contents may be disclosed or shared out with the Council.

  • The purpose of this Technical Note is to provide Elected Members with an update on the closure of the Mavis Valley Recycling Centre on Bank Holiday Friday 3 April and Bank Holiday Monday 6 April.
  • The site will be open as normal on Saturday 4 April and Sunday 5 April.
  • The decision to close the facility on the public holidays has been taken due to staffing constraints in the service, which have been further impacted by the holiday period.
  • All available staff will be deployed to maintain frontline operations and ensure continuity of these essential services.
  • Bookings for Mavis Valley Recycling Centre will remain available on the Saturday and Sunday of the holiday period.  Residents can access the booking facility through the website as normal.
