This Technical Note will be published on the Council’s website following circulation to Members. Its contents may be disclosed or shared out with the Council.
The purpose of this Technical Note is to provide Elected Members with an update on the closure of the Mavis Valley Recycling Centre on Bank Holiday Friday 3 April and Bank Holiday Monday 6 April.
The site will be open as normal on Saturday 4 April and Sunday 5 April.
The decision to close the facility on the public holidays has been taken due to staffing constraints in the service, which have been further impacted by the holiday period.
All available staff will be deployed to maintain frontline operations and ensure continuity of these essential services.
Bookings for Mavis Valley Recycling Centre will remain available on the Saturday and Sunday of the holiday period. Residents can access the booking facility through the website as normal.
