Ivor was presented his award by Provost Gillian Renwick and Depute Provost Colette McDiarmid.

As he was presented with his Award Ivor said,

Over the years I have thoroughly enjoyed being involved with my local community and the most important thing about any community group is that of people coming together to support one another.

“I was in the Young Farmers Club and I still live by the words of the motto – support all activities to the best of your ability and help and encourage others to do the same.

“And whilst I am extremely honoured to have received the Provost’s Community Champion Award, this award is not only for me, but it is for everyone in the community groups here in this area.”

Congratulations to our Sustainability Champion – Ivor McClure
