Technical Notes 2024, Issue 77 - Appointment of General Manager – East Dunbartonshire Leisure & Culture Trust

As you may be aware, Mark Grant, General Manager, EDLCT, is due to retire in June after 37 years with Strathkelvin District Council and EDC/EDLCT. His last working day will be 22 May 2024.

Please be advised, after a robust recruitment and selection process by the EDLCT Recruitment Panel and myself, that Karin Jackson has been appointed as General Manager of EDLCT. Many of you will know Karin from her current role as Operations Leader – Sports Development.

Technical Notes 2024, Issue 75 - Canniesburn Toll Improvement Project – Project update

  1. The purpose of this Technical Note is to provide Elected Members with further updates on the Canniesburn Toll Improvement Project (‘the Project’). This follows recent updates in Technical Notes No. 071-24 of 23rd April 2024, 055-24 of 3rd April 2024, 040-24 of 12th March 2024, and 027-24 of 21st February 2024.

Technical Notes 2024, Issue 73 - King George V Pavilion, Bearsden

  1. The purpose of this Technical Note is to provide Members with an update on proposed works to King George V Pavilion, Bearsden.
     
  2. The pavilion has been closed for a period of time whilst undergoing internal refurbishment, including the replacement of the heat and hot water pipes.  The flat above is currently empty and has been since it was transferred from the general revenue account to the housing revenue account a number of years ago.
     

Technical Notes 2024, Issue 69 - Roads & Environment 2023/24 Carriageway and Footway Resurfacing Programme (Quarter 4 Final Update)

  1. The purpose of the Technical Note is to provide Members with an update on the 2023/24 Roads & Environment Carriageway and Footway Resurfacing Programme for the final quarter of the financial year. Any works not completed will be carried forward into 2024/25 with a revised programme schedule to be issued in April 2024.
     
  2. The Technical Note highlights the work programmes associated with internal and external resources as well as providing an indication to when this work is programmed to be undertaken.
     

Technical Notes 2024, Issue 68 - Community Council Funding 2024/2025

  • The purpose of this technical note is to advise Members of the details of the grants to be paid by the Council to each Community Council for 2024/2025.
  • The amount to be paid to each Community Council for 2024/25 is consistent with previous years and the amount reflected in the Council’s Budget for this current financial year.
