Details:
- Members were advised in January 2023 that dates that had been circulated regarding the projects to refurbish Bearsden and Milngavie Primary Schools were incorrect, that work was ongoing at a project level to test programme assumptions and assess project risks, and once that work completed Elected Members would be advised of the programme for the delivery of both projects in advance of further stakeholder engagement. It was further confirmed that this would include a definitive timetable for the decant of both schools.
- It is the intention of officers to provide this update to Members in the normal manner via the next Capital Programme Monitoring Report, due to be considered by the Policy & Resources Committee in June, with stakeholder engagement to take place in advance of that Committee.
- Discussions remain ongoing with the main contractor, design team and client-side advisors to reach formal agreement on the programme for each project. Indicative programme dates were provided to officers on Thursday, 4th May for both the Bearsden and Milngavie PS projects. This information is now in the process of being reviewed, will be discussed in detail with the contractor and design team, and programme dates will be agreed in advance of reporting to the next Policy & Resources Committee.
