Publication:
This Technical Note will be published on the Council’s website following circulation to Members. Its contents may be disclosed or shared out with the Council.
Details:
  1. Further to Technical Note 165 issued on 5 October, we advised Members our structural engineering consultants have confirmed the presence of RAAC within the rear section of Bearsden Hub.
  2. Further and more intrusive investigative works are now underway to establish the extent RAAC usage in the original building fabric and to understand if any remedial works are required and the extent of those. Officers now expect to be able to provide a full update on this to Members by the end of the week commencing 9th October.
  3. Given the location within the building of the RAAC, as a further precautionary measure the car park will be closed to the public from today until further notice.
