THE EAST DUNBARTONSHIRE COUNCIL (A803 KILSYTH ROAD, NEAR AUCHENREOCH) (40 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 20XX
East Dunbartonshire Council propose to consider the introduction of a 40 mph speed limit on that length of the A803 Kilsyth Road, near Auchenreoch, described in the Schedule below.
Full details of this proposal, which forms the proposed THE EAST DUNBARTONSHIRE COUNCIL (A803 KILSYTH ROAD, NEAR AUCHENREOCH) (40 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 20XX, together with a plan and statement of reasons for proposing to make this Order, are available for inspection without payment of fee:
- On the Roads section of the East Dunbartonshire Council website; and
- William Patrick Library, 2-4 West High Street, Kirkintilloch (Mon – Thu 10am to 8pm, Fri – Sat 10am – 5pm).
Any person wishing to object to the proposal or make any representations on the proposal must send details of the grounds for objection in writing by email to TROconsultation@eastdunbarton.gov.uk or by post to Legal Services, 12 Strathkelvin Place, Kirkintilloch, G66 1TJ by no later than Friday 31 July 2026.

THE EAST DUNBARTONSHIRE COUNCIL (A803 KILSYTH ROAD, NEAR AUCHENREOCH) (40 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 20XX
The East Dunbartonshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Constable of the Police Service of Scotland in accordance with Part III and IV of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following Order.
- This Order may be cited as “The East Dunbartonshire Council (A803 Kilsyth Road, near Auchenreoch) (40 mph Speed Limit) Order 20XX” and shall come into operation on XXXX
- In this Order the following expressions have the meanings hereby assigned to them: “vehicle” unless the context otherwise requires, means a vehicle of any description and includes a machine or implement of any kind drawn or propelled along roads, whether or not by mechanical power
- No person shall drive any vehicle at a speed exceeding 40 mph on the length of road specified in Schedule 1 to this Order.

Length of Road in East Dunbartonshire
- That length of the A803 Kilsyth Road, near Auchenreoch from a point 200 metres northeast of the centre line of the access road to Auchenreoch Holdings, north-eastwards for a distance of 88 metres.
