  3. Glenburn Road, Bearsden, closed from its junction with the A809 Drymen Road westwards for a distance of 10 metres or thereby. The alternative routes will be by way of the A809 Drymen Road, Colquhoun Drive, Thorn Drive, Thorn Road, Whitehill Road, and Ledcameroch Road, Bearsden, and these routes will be sign posted
  4. Thorn Road, Bearsden, closed between its junctions with the A809 Drymen Road and Whitehill Road, Bearsden, The alternative routes will be by way of the A809 Drymen Road, Ledcameroch Road, Whitehill Road, Thorn Road, Thorn Drive and Colquhoun Drive, Bearsden, and these routes will be sign posted
  5. Collylinn Road, Bearsden, closed from its junction with the A809 Drymen Road westwards for a distance of 10 metres or thereby. The alternative routes will be by way of the A809 Drymen Road, Ledcameroch Road, Whitehill Road, Thorn Road, Thorn Drive, and Colquhoun Drive, Bearsden, and these routes will be sign posted.
• Duration: 6am on Monday 2 June 2025 until 6pm on Sunday 20 July 2025
• Notes: The temporary road closures will be carried out in various phases and at times two side roads will be closed at the one-time during phases of the SGN works. Access to the closed section of road will only be maintained for vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so during the works. There will be no access through the closed sections of road for emergency service vehicles. As part of the SGN works, rolling temporary two and three way traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities as required will also be used to control traffic movements on the A809 Drymen Road, Bearsden, between its junctions with Campbell Drive and Ledcameroch Road, Bearsden, from 9.30am on Monday 2 June 2025 for approximately two months.  The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day.

• Road affected: A section of Angus Avenue, between its junctions with Wester Cleddens Road and the unnamed service road which connects to numbers 39 to 83 Angus Avenue

• Reason for closure: Contractor carrying out various groundworks including the formation of a new access. These works are associated with the new Cala Housing Development presently under construction. There are also repairs being carried out on the existing former railway bridge on Chryston Road, due to corrosion discovered during the site investigation
• Road affected: Chryston Road, Fauldhead, at a location to the east of its junction with Market Road, Kirkintilloch
• Duration: Sunday 22 September 2024 until 6pm on 17 September 2025
• Notes: In order to prevent danger to the public arising from damage to the structural integrity of the bridge over the former railway bridge and for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, East Dunbartonshire Council will require to extend the existing temporary road closure on Chryston Road Fauldhead, between its junctions with Market Road, Kirkintilloch, and Sauchenhall Road/Muckcroft Road from 6pm on Sunday 22 September 2024 until 6pm on Friday 31 March 2025
  Alternative routes are be by of Sauchenhall Road, Gartshore Road, Mollins Road, the B8048 Waterside Road, Market Road, Kirkintilloch, Calfmuir Road, and Muckcroft Road, and these routes are presently being sign posted

• Road affected: Newdyke Road between its junction with Hillhead Road/Langmuir Road and Eidon Road, Kirkintilloch.

• Notes: Access to the closed section of road will only be maintained for emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties and land adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so during the works.

• Road affected: Redbrae Road between its junctions with the B8048 Waterside Road at Oxgang Roundabout and Dun Park, Kirkintilloch.  
• Duration: 6am on Sunday 22 June 2025 until 6pm on Sunday 29 June 2025.
• Notes: Alternative routes, will be by way of the B8048 Waterside Road, the A806 New Lairdsland Road, High Street, Eastside, Hillhead Road and Redbrae Road, Kirkintilloch, and these routes will be sign posted.  Internal diversion routes will also be sign posted.

• Reason for closure: East Dunbartonshire Council Roads Service is to carry out carriageway resurfacing works

• Road affected: Stockiemuir Road, Craigton, between its junctions with Craigton Road, Milngavie, and Broadmeadow Road
• Duration: 6am on Monday 2 June 2025 until 6pm on Sunday 8 June 2025

  Alternative routes will be by of the A81, the A807 though Milngavie and Balmore, the B822 through Torrance, and the A891 through Lennoxtown, and these routes will be sign posted.  The B8030 and the B8050 through Milngavie, the A809, and the B834 near Croftamie, will also be sign posted.

• Road affected: Tannoch Drive, between its junctions with Loch Road and Heathfield Drive, Milngavie
• Duration: 6am on Monday 14 July 2025 until 6pm on Friday 8 August 2025
  
• Notes: Access to the closed section of road will only be maintained for vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties and land adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so during the works.  There will be no access through the closed section of road for emergency service vehicles.
  

  Alternative routes will be by way of Tannoch Drive, Buchanan Street, Moor Road, the A81 Strathblane Road, Milngavie, the C56, Mugdock Road, Ellangowan Road, Woodburn Way and Station Road, Milngavie, and these routes will be sign posted.  

  As part of the above works, temporary two way traffic signals will also be used to control traffic movements on Tannoch Drive at its junction with Heathfield Drive, Milngavie.  

• Reason for closure: EDC Roads Service is to carry out carriageway resurfacing works

• Road affected: Main Street, between its junctions with the B8023 Shirva Road and MacDonald Crescent, Twechar
• Duration: 6am on Sunday 20 July 2025 until 6pm on Sunday 3 August 2025

• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, the existing pedestrian crossing facility will require to be switched off and temporary three way traffic signals incorporating a pedestrian crossing facility will be used to control traffic movements. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled at all times.

• Reason for temporary traffic management: Virgin Media is to carry out blockage repairs
• Town: Bishopbriggs
• Road affected: B819 Crosshill Road at its junction with Cole Road
• Duration: 9.30am on Tuesday 10 June 2025 for approximately one week
• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, temporary four way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movements on Crosshill Road at its junction with Cole Road and the private access to the property adjacent to VOSA.

• Road affected: Donaldson Street at its junction with Marina Way
• Duration: 9.30am until 3.30pm on Thursday 26 June 2025, during the school summer holidays
• Notes: .  In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, the existing pedestrian crossing facilities will require to be switched off and temporary three way traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities will be used to control traffic movements.

The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled at all times. The use of temporary traffic signals may result in delays to traffic in the area.

• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, the existing traffic signals will require to be switched off and temporary three way traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities will be used to control traffic movements on Glasgow Road at its junction with Auchenhowie Road.
  The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled at all times.  The use of temporary traffic signals may result in delays to traffic in the area.

• Reason for temporary traffic management: BT is to carry out pole replacement works
• Town: Milngavie
• Road affected: Stockiemuir Road just south of its junction with Craigton Road
• Duration: 9.30am until 3.30pm on Friday 13 June 2025
• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, temporary two way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movements on Stockiemuir Road at the works location. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled at all times. 

• Reason for temporary traffic management: BT is to carry out overhead power cable works
• Town: Twechar
• Road affected: Twechar Road near West Board Farm
• Duration: 9.30am until 3.30pm on Thursday 26 June 2025, during the school summer holidays
• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, temporary two way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movements. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled at all times.

• Reason for temporary traffic restrictions: The Roads Service is to carry out carriageway surfacing works 
• Town: Lennoxtown
• Road affected: A891 Milton Road, Lennoxtown, between its junctions with Chestnut Walk and Benvue Road, Lennoxtown. 
• Duration: 8am until 8pm, each day, from Sunday 8 June 2025 until Sunday 15 June 2025
• Notes: In the interests of safe working practice, it has been agreed that convoy working will be used as a mean of traffic control.
  In order to facilitate convoy working, East Dunbartonshire Council will require to introduce a temporary 10 mph speed limit on the A891 Milton Road, Lennoxtown, between its junctions with Chestnut Walk and Benvue Road, Lennoxtown.
  As part of the carriageway resurfacing works temporary traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities as required will be used to control traffic movements on the A891 Milton Road, Lennoxtown, between its junctions with Chestnut Walk and Benvue Road, Lennoxtown, from 8am on Sunday 8 June 2025 until 8pm on Sunday 15 June 2025.  The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day, as part of the convoy working.  

Reason for footpath closure: Scottish Water is to carry out water main replacement works
Town: Kirkintilloch -
Road affected:unnamed public footpath adjacent to Freeland Place/Luggiebank Road, Kirkintilloch.
Duration: 6am on Monday 23 June until 6pm on Sunday 3 August 2025
Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, a section of the existing footpath will require to be closed between Freeland Place/Luggiebank Road northeastwards for a distance of 55 metres or thereby at the existing underpass beneath the A806 New Lairdsland Road, Kirkintilloch, which runs adjacent to the Forth and Clyde Canal, from 06.00 hours on Monday 23 June 2025 until 18.00 hours on Sunday 3 August 2025.

Alternative routes for pedestrian will be by way of existing footpath network within Luggie Park, the existing underpass near the A806 Initiative Road/Parliament Road, existing footways on Parliament Road, Townhead, and Freeland Place, Kirkintilloch, and these routes will be sign posted.
