Emergency road works
- Reason for emergency works: Scottish Water is presently carrying out emergency repairs to a burst water main
- Town: Bearsden
- Road affected: Stockiemuir Road north of its junction with Baljaffray Road
- Duration: Starting 4 September 2025 and lasting for approximately three weeks
- Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, temporary two way traffic signals are being used to control traffic movements on Stockiemuir Road at the works location. The temporary traffic signals are being manually controlled at peak times.

Vehicles exceeding the low railway bridge maximum height of 4.4 metres on the A739 Bearsden Road within Glasgow City Council’s area will be diverted by way of Canniebsurn Toll Roundabout, the A809 Drymen Road, the A810 Duntocher Road, Bearsden, the A810 Glasgow Road, the A8014 Kilbowie Road, Hardgate, the A82 Great Western Road, the A739 Bearsden Road, Temple Road, Dalsholm Road, Skaethorn Road, Cowal Road, and these routes will be sign posted.

The northwestbound carriageway of the A81 Maryhill Road, Bearsden, will remain open.

- Road affected: South Crosshill Road between its junction with the A803 Kirkintilloch Road and its junction with the unnamed access road to Morrisons

Internal routes will also be sign posted.
- Reason for closure: Contractor carrying out various groundworks including the formation of a new access. These works are associated with the new Cala Housing Development presently under construction. There are also repairs being carried out on the existing former railway bridge on Chryston Road, due to corrosion discovered during the site investigation
- Road affected: Chryston Road, Fauldhead, at a location to the east of its junction with Market Road, Kirkintilloch
- Duration: 11.59pm on Wednesday 17 September 2025 until 11.59 pm on Tuesday 17 March 2026
- Notes: In order to prevent danger to the public arising from damage to the structural integrity of the bridge over the former railway bridge and for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, East Dunbartonshire Council will require to extend the existing temporary road closure on Chryston Road Fauldhead, between its junctions with Market Road, Kirkintilloch, and Sauchenhall Road/Muckcroft Road from 6pm on Sunday 22 September 2024 until 6pm on Friday 31 March 2025

Scheduled temporary traffic management

- Duration: 10pm on Saturday 4 October 2025 until 6am on Sunday 5 October 2025
- Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, temporary three way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movements on Kirkintilloch Road/Auchinloch Road at its junction with Millersneuk Road, Lenzie. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled at all times.
Scheduled temporary traffic restrictions

- Road affected: Main Street
- Duration: Thursday 14 August 2025 until Friday 12 February 2027 and will be effective between 8.30am and 9.30am and between 2.30pm and 3.30pm, Monday to Friday
- Notes: On Tuesday, 29 July 2025 the East Dunbartonshire Council made a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which makes it unlawful for any person to cause or permit any vehicle, with the exception of school buses, to wait or load or unload in the length of road specified in the Schedule by reason of the likelihood of danger to the public, as school buses will be dropping off school pupils due to the temporary decant of pupils from Milngavie Primary School to Torrance Primary School.

- Path affected: The length of unnamed footpath which runs between Duntocher Road and Castlehill Road

- Reason for footpath closure: Scottish Water is to carry out water main replacement works

- Road affected: Unnamed public footpath adjacent to Freeland Place/Luggiebank Road, Kirkintilloch.
- Duration: 6am on Monday 11 August 2025 until 6pm on Friday 17 October 2025
- Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, a section of the existing footpath will require to be closed between Freeland Place/Luggiebank Road northeastwards for a distance of 55 metres or thereby at the existing underpass beneath the A806 New Lairdsland Road, Kirkintilloch, which runs adjacent to the Forth and Clyde Canal
Alternative routes for pedestrian will be by way of existing footpath network within Luggie Park, the existing underpass near the A806 Initiative Road/Parliament Road, existing footways on Parliament Road, Townhead, and Freeland Place, Kirkintilloch, and these routes will be sign posted.
