- Reason for emergency works: SPEN is presently carrying out emergency repairs to a cable fault

- Notes: The alternative route for vehicles travelling northwards in Drymen Road will be by way of Ledcameroch Road, Whitehill Road, Thorn Road, Thorn Drive, Colquhoun Drive and then returning to Drymen Road. Vehicles travelling southwards in Drymen Road should travel vice-versa. Vehicles travelling westwards in Roman Road will be diverted via Douglas Place, New Kirk Road and then northwards only on Drymen Road.

- Road affected: Cole Road, Bishopbriggs, between its junctions with the B819 Crosshill Road at the roundabout and the A803 Kirkintilloch Road at Torrance Roundabout
- Duration: 12.01am on Friday 2 October 2026 until 11.59pm on Tuesday 12 January 2027

- Reason for closure: East Dunbartonshire Roads Service is to carry out carriageway patching repair works
- Road affected: Crowhill Road between A803 Kirkintilloch Road Bishopbriggs and its junction with Emerson Road, West Bishopbriggs
- Duration: From 6am on Monday 19 October 2026 until 11.59pm on Friday 23 October 2026
- Notes: Access to the closed section of road will only be maintained for emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties and land adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so during the works.
Alternative route, shown on the plan below, will be as follows. Vehicles on the north side of the closure should proceed southwestwards then southwards on the A803 Kirkintilloch Road then eastwards on Colston Road then northwards and eastwards on the B812 Auchinairn Road then northwards on Crowhill Road to the south side of the closure. Please note that a diversion will also be in place for pedestrians by way of Springfield Road, Arnold Avenue and Emerson Road West, Bishopbriggs, and this will also be sign posted.
- Reason for closure: SPEN carriageway reinstatement works
- Road affected: Stirling Drive, from its junction with Southesk Avenue and its most eastern junction with Balmuildy Road

- Reason for closures: A contractor is to carry out carriageway resurfacing works
- Town: Lennoxtown
- Roads affected: A891 Main Street and Service Street, Lennoxtown, between its junctions with Slatefield and a point west of its junction with the B822 Crosshill Street, Lennoxtown.
- Duration: from 7pm until 6am each night/morning, from 7pm on Monday 19 October 2026 until 6am on Saturday 24 October 2026
- Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner due to safety zones, East Dunbartonshire Council will require to close the A891 Main Street and Service Street, Lennoxtown, between its junctions with Slatefield and the vehicular access to Whitefield Lodge Care Home, Lennoxtown.
The alternative routes will be by way of the B822 between Lennoxtown and Torrance, the A807 Balmore Road, the A807 Auchenhowie Road, the A81 Glasgow Road and Strathblane Road, Milngavie, the A891 between Strathblane Road and Lennoxtown, and these routes will be sign posted. The A891 Campsie Road, Lennoxtown and Milton of Campsie, the B757 between Milton of Campsie and Kirkintilloch, the A803 Glasgow Road and Kirkintilloch Road, and the A807 Torrance Road, will also be sign posted. The B822, and the B818 through Fintry, and the A875 through Killearn, and the A81 Blanefield and Strathblane, will also be sign posted. Internal diversion routes will also be sign posted.

As part of the above works, East Dunbartonshire Council also require to temporarily suspend the existing one way operation, on the following section of road, contained within the provisions of Schedule 6 of the "East Dunbartonshire Council (Milngavie) (Traffic Management Consolidation) Order 2013, under the heading for Hillcrest Street, Milngavie, from a point 75 metres northeast of the extended east kerbline of Hillcrest Street to the extended east kerbline of Hillcrest Street, from 7am until 5pm, each day, from Friday 9 October 2026 until Sunday 19 October 2026, during the school October holidays.
This will allow two way operation on the above named road, which will be controlled by way of banksmen/operatives/temporary traffic signals.
Temporary traffic signals will be in place on the junction of Cairns Drive, Hillcrest Street and Hillhead Street, Milngavie, from 5pm until 7am, each night/morning, once the closure has been removed each night on Cairns Drive, Milngavie, each evening.

- Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, rolling temporary two, three way and four way traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities as required will be used to control traffic movements on Balmore Road between its junction with the B822 Main Street at Kelvinbridge Roundabout, Torrance and its junction with the most easterly vehicular access to Old Balmore Road, Balmore.

East Dunbartonshire Council made a temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which makes it unlawful for any person to cause or permit any vehicle, with the exception of school buses, to wait or load or unload in the length of road specified in the Schedule by reason of the likelihood of danger to the public, as school buses are dropping off school pupils at Holy Family Primary School

- Notes: On the 24 September 2026 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which suspends the existing one-way operation on Hillcrest Street, Milngavie, from a point 75 metres northeast of the extended east kerbline of Hillcrest Street to the extended east kerbline of Hillcrest Street detailed in Schedule 6 of the "East Dunbartonshire Council (Milngavie) (Traffic Management Consolidation) Order 2013” for the duration of the Temporary Order. This will allow two way operation of Hillcrest Street, Milngavie, for the duration of the Temporary Order, controlled by way of banksmen/event traffic management operatives.
Temporary traffic signals will be in place on the junction of Cairns Drive, Hillcrest Street and Hillhead Street, Milngavie, from 5pm until 7am, each night/morning, once the closure has been removed each night on Cairns Drive, Milngavie, each evening.
This Order will operate from 7am until 5pm each day, from Friday 9 October 2026 until Sunday 18 October 2026.
