- Reason for emergency works: Emergency SPEN cabling works

- Reason for emergency works: Scottish Water is presently carrying out emergency repairs to a water burst

- Road affected: Garngaber Avenue at its junction with Woodilee Road and Easter Garngaber Road, Lenzie
- Duration: From 10 December 2025 and are expected to be in place for approximately one week
- Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, temporary three way traffic signals are being used to control traffic movements on Garngaber Avenue at its junction with Woodilee Road and Easter Garngaber Road, Lenzie.
- Reason for emergency works: Scottish Water is presently carrying out emergency works to repair a burst water main
- Town: Torrance
- Road affected: West Balgrochan Road at its junction with the B822 Main Street/Campsie Road, Torrance
- Duration: from 17 December 2025 for approx one week.
- Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, the existing traffic signals have been switched off and temporary three way smart traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities are being used to control traffic movement on West Balgrochan Road at its junction with Main Street/Campsie Road, Torrance.

- Reason for closure: EDC Roads Service is to carry out carriageway resurfacing works
- Town: Croy
- Road affected: Auchinstarry Road, near Croy, between the East Dunbartonshire Council/North Lanarkshire Council Boundary at the railway viaduct and a point just south of Drumglass Steadings
- Duration: from 6am on Sunday 8 February 2026 until 6pm on
Sunday 15 February 2026 - Notes: All classes of vehicle prohibited (except emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties and land adjacent to the closed section of road when practical and safe to do so during the works). Alternative routes are by of Auchinstarry Road, Smithstone Road, the B802 Constarry Road, and Howe Road, and these routes will be sign posted.
- Reason for closure: Contractor carrying out various groundworks including the formation of a new access. These works are associated with the new Cala Housing Development presently under construction. There are also repairs being carried out on the existing former railway bridge on Chryston Road, due to corrosion discovered during the site investigation
- Road affected: Chryston Road, Fauldhead, at a location to the east of its junction with Market Road, Kirkintilloch
- Duration: 11.59pm on Wednesday 17 September 2025 until 11.59 pm on Tuesday 17 March 2026
- Notes: In order to prevent danger to the public arising from damage to the structural integrity of the bridge over the former railway bridge and for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, East Dunbartonshire Council will require to extend the existing temporary road closure on Chryston Road Fauldhead, between its junctions with Market Road, Kirkintilloch, and Sauchenhall Road/Muckcroft Road from 6pm on Sunday 22 September 2024 until 6pm on Friday 31 March 2025

- Duration: 9.30am on Monday 5 January 2026 for approximately six weeks
- Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, rolling temporary three and four way traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities as required will be used to control traffic movements on Roman Road, Bearsden, between its junctions with the A809 Drymen Road and the A81 Milngavie Road, Bearsden. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each night.

- Road affected: Merkland Drive at its junction with the B8048 Waterside Road, Kirkintilloch
- Duration: 9.30am until 3.30pm on Thursday 18 December 2025
- Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, the existing traffic signals will be switched off and temporary three way traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities will be used to control traffic movements on Merkland Drive at its junction with Waterside Road, Kirkintilloch, from 9.30am until 3.30pm on Thursday 18 December 2025. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled at all times.

- Reason for traffic management: East Dunbartonshire Council Roads Operation is to carry out works associated with the installation of a new pedestrian crossing facility
- Town: Milngavie
- Road affected: Clober Road near its junction with Craigton Road
- Duration: from 9.30am on Monday 15 December 2025 for approximately five days
- Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, temporary four way traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities will be used. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled at peak times, each day.
Scheduled temporary traffic restrictions
- Temporary traffic restriction: To allow Construction vehicles access to Balmuildy Primary School for concrete pour works
- Town: Bishopbriggs
- Road affected: Both sides of Stirling Drive between its junction with Balmuildy Road and its junction with Southesk Avenue
- Duration: Wednesday 14 January 2026 and Monday 19 January and Tuesday 27 January 2026.
- Notes: The waiting restrictions will only be in place when the cones are in place on both sides of the section of
Stirling Drive.
- Temporary traffic restriction: Temporary Waiting and Loading Restriction Except School Buses
- Town: Torrance
- Road affected: Main Street
- Duration: Thursday 14 August 2025 until Friday 12 February 2027 and will be effective between 8.30am and 9.30am and between 2.30pm and 3.30pm, Monday to Friday
- Notes: On Tuesday, 29 July 2025 the East Dunbartonshire Council made a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which makes it unlawful for any person to cause or permit any vehicle, with the exception of school buses, to wait or load or unload in the length of road specified in the Schedule by reason of the likelihood of danger to the public, as school buses will be dropping off school pupils due to the temporary decant of pupils from Milngavie Primary School to Torrance Primary School.
- Temporary traffic restriction: Temporary Waiting Restrictions
- Town: Torrance
- Road affected: Stirling Drive between its junctions with Balmuildy Road and Southesk Avenue
- Duration: 7am until 8pm on Monday 22 December 2025.
- Notes: The waiting restrictions will only be in place when the cones are in place on both sides of the section of Stirling Drive. Construction vehicles access to Balmuildy Primary School for concrete pour works.
Scheduled temporary footpath restrictions
- Reason for footpath closure: Scottish Water is to carry out water main replacement works
- Town: Kirkintilloch
- Road affected: Unnamed public footpath adjacent to Freeland Place/Luggiebank Road, Kirkintilloch.
- Duration: 6am on Monday 11 August 2025 until 6pm on Friday 30 January
- Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, a section of the existing footpath will require to be closed between Freeland Place/Luggiebank Road northeastwards for a distance of 55 metres or thereby at the existing underpass beneath the A806 New Lairdsland Road, Kirkintilloch, which runs adjacent to the Forth and Clyde Canal
Alternative routes for pedestrian will be by way of existing footpath network within Luggie Park, the existing underpass near the A806 Initiative Road/Parliament Road, existing footways on Parliament Road, Townhead, and Freeland Place, Kirkintilloch, and these routes will be sign posted.
