Discounts and exemptions on waste and water charges
There are some scenarios where a property is exempt from Council Tax as the property is wholly occupied by students or is unoccupied and unfurnished. An exemption from paying water and waste charges also applies in these scenarios.
Water and waste charges are discounted if a Council Tax Bill is subject to a status discount e.g. care worker, student, apprentice.
There is no discount on water and waste charges if the property is subject to an empty property discount.
