Banding and valuation
The Valuation Joint Board Assessor sets council tax bands in Scotland. Check your band on the Scottish Assessors website.
Any alterations or extensions will not affect the Council Tax valuation band until the property is sold. If you have become liable for a Council Tax at a property which has been altered, your band may increase.
