Penalty Charge Notices (PCN)

The Council is responsible for enforcing parking restrictions in East Dunbartonshire. Our parking attendants use an electronic device to store information and produce the ticket, and they also take photos of the vehicle.  They have body cameras that can record any incidents or inappropriate behaviour.  The Police will continue to deal with vehicles causing an obstruction.

Parking in a disabled bay

Disabled Badge holders can now park for free within pay and display car parks. You must still ensure that you park appropriately within marked bays whether disabled bays or not. You must also ensure that you are properly displaying a current disabled badge but are no longer required to display a valid ticket.

Town centre car parks

Charging has been introduced within Council owned town centre car parks from Monday to Friday only and the first 2 hours parking will be free.

Parking fines

If you receive a Parking Fine or Penalty Charge Notice (PCN), please do not ignore it.

The PCN charge is £60 but if paid within 14 days the fine will reduce to £30.
If payment has not been received before the period of 28 days further action will be taken.
