jim gibbons hold a chirstmas poster“There is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humour.” So said Charles Dickens in his beloved festive story, A Christmas Carol.

Now you can share the laughter, enjoy the drama and experience the feel-good factor of a top-notch performance of Dickens’ famous tale, complete with original music. If that’s not enticing enough, it’s all happening in the heart of East Dunbartonshire and there are still tickets remaining. And, did we mention the expansive, on-site free parking?

A Christmas Carol; A Radio Play on Stage is coming to Kilmardinny House courtesy of No Nonsense Productions, who were behind the sell-out performance of Para Handy at Kirkintilloch Town Hall in 2019. The show is an adaptation of the festive favourite and Bearsden’s striking Georgian venue, Kilmardinny House, will host a matinee and an evening performance on Saturday 16 December.

Adapted by Tony Palermo and directed by Kevin Jannetts, this classic tale is performed as a 1950s radio broadcast. Ebenezer Scrooge, Bob Cratchit and Tiny Tim along with all of Dickens’ other memorable characters take to the airwaves courtesy of four plucky BBC radio actors. The production also features live sound effects and an original score.
