Councillor Lynda Williamson, Convener of the Council’s Education Committee, said, “I was absolutely blown away by the performances at last year’s Christmas Gala Concert and I am very much looking forward to the event this year.  It’s a great way to kick off the Christmas festivities and an opportunity to showcase our extremely talented young people in a fantastic concert venue.

“Throughout the year our dedicated Instrumental Music Service has been tutoring and supporting our young musicians and singers to prepare them for this concert on a stage that has attracted acts from all over the world. It is the first time many of our young people will experience performing in such a venue and it will be a night they’ll never forget.

“Final rehearsals are now underway to bring you a packed programme of well-known orchestral pieces and festive favourites – it promises to be a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable evening for the performers and audience alike.

"Tickets are now on sale and I would encourage family and friends of our young performers to book at the earliest opportunity – you do not want to miss this show!”
