Projects and groups spreading goodwill and working miracles in East Dunbartonshire’s towns and villages are being invited to bid for a funding boost.

The latest round of the Council's Community Grants Scheme is open for applications between Monday 24 November 2025 and Friday 9 January 2026.

Visit the community-grants-scheme webpage to apply and access more information – including guidance and eligibility criteria.

The Community Grants Scheme is fully externally financed – with East Dunbartonshire Council utilising the UK Government's Shared Prosperity Fund and the Talbot Crosbie Bequest charitable trust.

More than 100 grants, representing a total in excess of £360,000, were issued to local organisations and projects in 2024/25 – benefiting people of all ages and abilities.

The funding helped to support 4,480 volunteering opportunities and 392 jobs (3,679 including national organisations).

Groups and projects benefited in areas including Auchinairn, Baldernock, Bardowie, Bearsden, Bishopbriggs, Harestanes, Hillhead, Kirkintilloch, Lennoxtown, Lenzie, Milngavie, Milton of Campsie, Torrance and Waterside.

Organisations can request a grant of up to £5,000 or £10,000. The maximum, over the course of a year, a group can receive is £15,000.
