Time is running out to help shape services, facilities and activities delivered by East Dunbartonshire Leisure and Culture Trust (EDLCT).

Nearly 800 completed surveys have been received – find out more and get involved by visiting the EDLCT Strategy consultation page.

There is a survey for adults and one specifically aimed at young people attending local primary/secondary schools.

The Trust delivers a wide range of services and operates facilities including Kirkintilloch Leisure Centre, the Leisuredrome in Bishopbriggs, the Allander Leisure Centre in Bearsden, pavilions, eight libraries, the Auld Kirk Museum in Kirkintilloch, the Lillie Art Gallery in Milngavie, Kirkintilloch Town Hall and Kilmardinny House in Bearsden.
A vision, mission statement and priorities for the next five years have been developed through consultation with employees.
Councillor Jim Gibbons, Chair of EDLCT, said,

We are keen to hear from as many service users, residents and stakeholders as possible – particularly younger people and those from local villages.

“All feedback will be used to help ensure the Trust continues to deliver first-class cultural, leisure and sport services, facilities and activities. Please fill in a survey before the deadline if you can.”

Visit the EDLCT Strategy consultation page before Sunday 29 June 2025.

Survey results will help to shape the final strategy, with the aim to have it in place by this autumn, following a report to the EDLCT Board.
EDLCT was established in 2010 to deliver cultural, leisure and sport services on behalf of East Dunbartonshire Council.
