Councillor Williamson, said, “It was a joy to read Education Scotland’s inspection report on Mosshead Primary School and it is a welcome recognition of all the hard work that has gone into making the school an outstanding learning environment for all. Within the report the senior leadership team and teachers are acknowledged for sustaining high levels of attainment by encouraging engagement in learning and providing tailored support to children with additional support needs which reduces attainment gaps within the school. The children are also lauded for being respectful learners who interact well with one another.

“Inspectors found a wonderful culture of encouragement within the school; the children are inspired and motivated to become leaders, whether as Rights Ambassadors, House Captains, Committee Members or Pupil Council representatives, and they participate in numerous meaningful ways to the life and work of the school.

“The report details many examples of good practice and is a truly excellent report to receive, particularly at the end of a busy term. Congratulations to Mrs Yeoman and everyone at Mosshead Primary School!”
