Looking to kick-start your career with a modern apprenticeship? East Dunbartonshire Council is now recruiting candidates for a number of exciting opportunities.

Apprenticeships in Early Years, Health & Social Care, Roads, Streetscene and Architecture are now being advertised on My Job Scotland and applicants have until Sunday 26 May to apply.

These posts are open to East Dunbartonshire residents or those who attended an East Dunbartonshire Secondary School, aged 16-24 years or 16-29 years if care experienced or have additional support needs.

The Council’s award-winning modern apprenticeship programme has been running for over 10 years, employing more than 100 young people from across East Dunbartonshire.

Council Leader Gordan Low, said,

Over the last 15 years many young people from East Dunbartonshire have benefited from completing a Modern Apprenticeship with the Council; it is a great opportunity to earn whilst you learn a trade or skill.

Our modern apprentices work on professional qualifications as part of the programme and at the same time gain practical training and support from experienced colleagues. Apprentices in previous years have gone on to enjoy rewarding positions within the Council or within other organisations and I would encourage anyone who is interested in these opportunities to apply now and take the first step towards a fulfilling career.”
