Please note, resurfacing works mean Southbank Drive in Kirkintilloch will be closed to all vehicles in two phases – between 6am on Sunday 15 February and 6pm on Sunday 22 February 2026.
- Phase one – the section of Southbank Drive between Southbank Road and the junctions with Strathkelvin Place/Sainsbury's car park (marked in red below) will be closed from Sunday 15 February to Monday 16 February 2026. You will be able to access Strathkelvin Place from the Donaldson Street direction
- Phase two – the section of Southbank Drive between Donaldson Street and the junctions with Strathkelvin Place/Sainsbury's car park (marked in blue below) will be closed from Tuesday 17 February to Sunday 22 February 2026. You will be able to access Strathkelvin Place from the Southbank Road direction.

There will be no vehicle access or parking allowed during these times. Footways will remain open so pedestrian access will be maintained.
Alternative routes – by way of Southbank Drive, Townhead, Cowgate, Catherine Street, the A806 New Lairdsland Road, Parliament Road, the B757 Lenzie Road, Donaldson Street and Marina Way – will be signposted.
