At the end of the financial year (31 March) it is important that the final accounts of the Council accurately reflect the financial position on that date.
The 2025/26 year-end procedures for services have now been posted within the Employee Zone and are available by following this link:

All employees with a role in the year-end – in particular, in the following areas – are asked to ensure they are familiar with the procedures and deadlines:
- Consumable stock
- Inventory of plant, equipment and furniture
- Authorising invoices for payment
- Supplying chargeable services to customers
- Internal charging
- Income
- Grants and contributions.
