We are launching our Employee Travel Survey today.

In the survey, we ask a number of questions in order to understand how our employees currently travel to and from work, and what, if any, initiatives you would like to see implemented to help support alternative methods of travelling.

We have a responsibility to achieve the Council’s net zero targets and improve sustainability. By understanding the current impact of our commuting and business-related travel on the environment, we can find ways to reduce our impact while supporting employee travel.

This work links into our forthcoming Climate Action Plan and will help us to develop a Corporate Travel Plan to support our employees to travel more actively and offer benefits in terms of sustainability and health and wellbeing. This work can also set the foundations for the Council to achieve ‘Cycle Friendly Employer’ status and become eligible to run a Cycle to Work scheme.

We have enlisted the help of Travelknowhow Scotland to conduct the survey and report back on the findings.

The survey should take around 10 minutes to complete and is anonymous.

We’ll publish the findings of the survey on the Employee Zone and the findings will continue to inform the Climate Action Plan.
