This is a reminder that the Electric Vehicle (EV) charging points located within Council premises – including Southbank House and William Patrick Library - are for use by our Fleet vehicles and Pool cars only.
Over the last few months, our Corporate Fraud team have had reports of these EV points being used by private and personal vehicles. Further investigation has found this to be by the public, local businesses and members of our workforce.
It is essential that these charging points are used correctly – it is not only costly if they are misused, but it can impact the delivery of essential services in our communities.
If you drive an electric vehicle and need to charge while working in any of our sites, you can find a list of the nearest charge points on our Electric Vehicle Charging Points webpage.
It is imperative that you do not use Council EV charging points for private or personal vehicles.
