You may remember that at our Budget Meeting on Thursday 6 March 2025 we set out plans to move our Council Headquarters to Southbank House.
After a further review, a report was heard in private at Council last week to revise our accommodation strategy. The report was approved by Councillors which means we will now retain our HQ at Southbank Marina and instead vacate Southbank House.
The previously proposed move of all HSCP and Social Work employees from Southbank House to Kirkintilloch Health and Care Centre will progress as planned.
Southbank House will remain a non-operational Council asset and will be converted for commercial use, with tenants identified in due course.
The design phase of the project will continue throughout this year with the aim to vacate Southbank House and secure tenants in 2026.
