Following a number of well-received events, we are pleased to announce a new series of Financial Awareness Sessions, starting next week.

Aimed at all employees, regardless of role or grade, the sessions will focus on providing valuable and helpful information to potentially assist with future financial decisions and money management. The following sessions are coming soon:

Affinity Connect – Planning a Positive Retirement

All places on the sessions MUST be booked via peopledevelopment@eastdunbarton.gov.uk

  • Tuesday 6 May, 1-4pm - In person session in Broomhill Training Suite
  • Friday 13 June, 9.30-12 noon - via MS Teams
  • Thursday 23 October, 1-3.30pm - via MS Teams.

This session is provided by Affinity Connect and is for any employee thinking about retirement in the next 10 years or so. The aim is to help you make informed choices in relation to your retirement. It will help you to plan accordingly and includes advice on how to maximise the benefits of your state and workplace pensions, how to make the most of your tax-free cash and understanding the income options available from your pension, amongst other topics.

Scotwest Credit Union

  • Tuesday 13 May, 10am- 2pm (drop in) - Kirkintilloch Health and Community Centre, Kirkintilloch.

Strathclyde Pension Fund

  • Tuesday 27 May, 12.30-2.30pm – In person session in McGregor House, 10 Donaldson Crescent, Kirkintilloch, G66 1XF

Please secure prior approval to attend these sessions from your line manager if they are during your normal working hours. 

Recorded online sessions are available on the Moodle learning platform (accessible from the EDC Apps folder) – including the Money and Pensions Service, Scotwest Credit Union and Strathclyde Pension Fund.
