Employee News 2024, Issue 23 - Become a volunteer mentor to a young person in East Dunbartonshire

The Council is continuing its partnership with MCR Pathways to deliver a life-changing mentoring programme to help local young people.

In East Dunbartonshire, more than 300 young people have signed up to take part in the programme and more volunteer mentors are needed to help build their aspirations and help them fulfil their potential.

If you are friendly, empathetic, open-minded and can spare one hour a week – you can make a difference to a young person’s life. Many of the young people are facing challenges in their lives that make it harder for them to succeed and you could provide a listening ear and the encouragement they need.

You can find out more at one of these online information sessions:

  • Wednesday 4 September 2024 from 11-11.30am
  • Wednesday 4 September 2024 from 3-3.30pm.
