Smart Working: New Email signature
In Employee News 04, issued on 10 February, we updated you on our migration from IBM Notes to Microsoft Outlook, which is now well under way.
With the migration progressing as planned, we are now ready to roll out the official email signature which all Council employees should adopt as soon as possible.
Please note, if you work in Education this signature will not apply to you.
A step-by-step guide to show you how to add the new signature has been published to the news section of the M365 Adoption Hub. This is a straightforward process but if you have any issues then please speak to your team’s’ Digital Champion.
If you have already updated your signature prior to receiving the Employee News please change again to this new one as this is formatted correctly and is fully accessible.
I would like to take this opportunity to advise that the bodies of your email should remain white. No email should include coloured stripes or backgrounds of any kind. It is also important to use easily readable fonts such as Arial or Calibri. Both issues are to ensure our emails meet standard Accessibility Guidelines and good practice.
Remember, if you have any other questions about the wider migration to Outlook, please visit the FAQs section of the M365 Adoption Hub in the first instance (using your EDC email address and network password if prompted to sign in). The Adoption Hub contains a wide range of information and support.
Thank you
Ann Davie
