As part of the ongoing teachers’ pay dispute, the EIS teaching union has confirmed that it has called its members to strike in East Dunbartonshire primary, ASN and secondary schools on Friday 20 January.

As a result of this strike action:

  • All East Dunbartonshire primary schools, ASN and secondary schools will be closed to pupils on Friday 20 January.
  • All Early Years Centres, with the exception of Campsie Nursery, will remain open.

OPERATIONAL ARRANGEMENTS DURING STRIKE ACTION

Facilities Management employees based within the Education estate should report to their normal work location unless otherwise instructed.

 

Early Years Centres Education (Non-Teaching) employees in Early Years centres, ie Early Years Workers, should report for work as normal. Teaching staff who are part of the ballot and working within a Nursery/Early Years Centre should report to the location listed in the table below for the Secondary they are nearest to.

The arrangements for signing in on the day of action for education employees based in schools and not part of the ballot are detailed below for each establishment.

Please note, only Education employees (Teaching and Non Teaching) based within the schools are being requested to report to the locations listed below. On reporting for work on Friday 20 January, employees will be provided with further information with regards to their work allocation/location for the day.

If you are a multi-postholder across different bases you should report to the location below for the school you would be expected to have worked at on the day of action.
