Back

Dear all,

While Christmas and New Year may feel like a distant memory, I hope everyone had a lovely time and to our frontline teams who continued to deliver essential services during the festive holidays, thank you again for all your hard work.

As ever at this time of year, setting our budget will be a focus over the coming weeks. The findings of our budget consultation will help to inform our work as we continue to explore income generation and savings to reduce our financial gap.

By-election

A by-election for Ward 7 – Kirkintilloch East & North Twechar will be held on Thursday 13 February. While this will see only one Councillor being elected after the resignation of Councillor Susan Murray, it’s still an important event with multiple teams across the Council working together to make sure the election runs smoothly. As usual thank you to everyone who is contributing to what I’m sure will be another successful election.

Move to monthly pay

As outlined last year and in the letter all employees received, we are moving to one monthly payrun from April 2025. Detailed rationale and benefits of this move can be found on the Employee Zone. If you haven’t already, please do take time to read through the information.

Monthly Wellbeing Focus

As usual, our Monthly Wellbeing Focus is updated each month with key campaigns and details of support all employees can access. This month you can find out all about Quit Your Way – NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde’s campaign to support anyone wanting to quit smoking in 2025. You can access this information on the Employee Zone.

And Finally….

Mugdock Park have announced its programme of events from now until March which includes crafting, wild wellie walks and storytelling. You can find the list of events on Eventbrite.

Thanks,

Ann
