    Provost Gillian Renwick was invited along to the Ramekin and Rolling Pin Community Kitchen in Kirkintilloch to join East Dunbartonshire Voluntary Action’s (EDVA) Health and Wellbeing Fund celebration. The event was an opportunity for representatives from charities and social enterprises who operate throughout East Dunbartonshire to come together, and the Provost was able to thank them all for the vital services they provide.

    Townhead Square Community Space

    Provost Gillian Renwick opened the new Townhead Square Community Space today - a colourful new area in Kirkintilloch offering people the chance to relax, socialise and enjoy a trip back in time. The project has been led by Your Kirky (aka Kirkintilloch Community Council), using its own funds and support from Scotland Loves Local, as well as help from a range of partners.

    Provost Gillian Renwick and Lord Lieutenant Mrs Jill Young MBE met with veteran Robert Campbell MBE at Southbank Marina in Kirkintilloch as he was walking to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. Robert (76), known as Bobby, is doing a 10,000 miles sponsored walk for the charity and has clocked up 3,000 miles so far.

    Provost Gillian Renwick carried out her first official duty with Lord-Lieutenant Mrs Jill Young MBE when they unveiled the Queen's Green Canopy plaque that will be displayed next to a newly planted tree in Kirkintilloch.
