Provost Gillian Renwick was invited along to the Ramekin and Rolling Pin Community Kitchen in Kirkintilloch to join East Dunbartonshire Voluntary Action’s (EDVA) Health and Wellbeing Fund celebration. The event was an opportunity for representatives from charities and social enterprises who operate throughout East Dunbartonshire to come together, and the Provost was able to thank them all for the vital services they provide.
Provost Renwick, said, “I had a fantastic afternoon at the Ramekin and Rolling Pin Community Kitchen meeting those who deliver life changing services to people in our communities. I also enjoyed the wonderful spread prepared in the community kitchen, the food was delicious!”
Ramekin and Rolling Pin Community Kitchen is a social enterprise that runs activities for people who find it difficult to cook healthy, low-cost meals. Bespoke programmes are also available for people living with dementia, learning disabilities or physical or mental ill health.
