East Dunbartonshire Licensing Board is carrying out formal consultation on a new Statement of Licensing Principles in relation to gambling applications and activities.
The Statement sets out how the Board will exercise its functions under the Gambling Act 2005.
The updated Statement is due to be published by early December 2025 and will apply until 2028 (unless a new Statement is introduced by the Board before then).
Formal consultation is taking place between Wednesday 6 August and Monday 15 September 2025.
The Board is consulting with the Gambling Commission, Police Scotland, representatives of businesses and the wider general public to gather views.
People and organisations can comment on any aspect of the draft Statement or issues that they feel should be covered by emailing gambling.licensing@eastdunbarton.gov.uk
Written responses can be sent to the Clerk of the Licensing Board, East Dunbartonshire Council, 12 Strathkelvin Place, Kirkintilloch, G66 1TJ.
